My DPIS classmates joining same agency for Haj

I thought I would be terribly lonely during this haj journey.
But no, during the Hahnemann haj briefing, I met my DPIS classmates (husband and wife) whom I had not met for 2 or 3 years.

Sis Shafika and bro Muhammad were performing their hajj 2nd times. MarshaAllah. So most of the time they stayed in Masjidil Haram (the holy mosque in Mecca) and performed ibadah on their own. They knew their way around so well!

These pictures were taken at the Jeddah Airport where we assembled before clearance. We prayed combined and shortened Zohor and Asar here. We reached Jeddah around 12.30 pm local time and left (to Shisha) at 6 pm local time. Singapore is 5 hours ahead of Mecca.

Noticed the men were in 2 white unsewn cloths wrapped around the body. While the ladies wore as per normal that covered her aurat.

Haj '06 - Sending us off

26 Dec 2006, Tuesday.
Changi Airport Terminal 1.
Saudi Airline, 5 am flight (10 hrs journey).

My sister-in law, Rosminah.

Rosman and kak Ros.

We reached the airport before 2 am. It was so crowded that it was impossible to locate mummy and sister. So the only way to contact them is the handphone. We carried our old handphones to prevent getting lost like our umrah trip back in 2003.

Excited and sleepy, trying to keep awake.

Left to right: Aisya (me), my sis Adelice, Mummy, Kak Ros and Rosman. Look at our Blue Hahnemann Uniforms heehee... of course before boarding, the men will change into Ikram (2 white unsewn cloth).

Also met in airport, sis Safiah and aunty Salma sending off bro Malek and sis Hawa (and us), whom later bro Malek and sis Hawa became our close friends during Haj :D Sis Hawa and sis Shareena are my sweetest translators during the trip, so that I would know what was going on when hubby were not around.

Thanks to the sms doa from sis Safiyyah Teo/bro Suhail and sis Zaiton that morning. I still have them in my old handphone.

Rosman old hp declared war while we were at the waiting area before boarding. All the buttons were not working. So I had to sms our family to contact us through my hp... (thinking abt IDD $$$ it's cheaper to get the Saudi prepaid card to sms S'pore)

In my Hajj record book 1st entry:
- Niat on plane : Umrah
- Recite Talbiyah
- @ Jeddah Airport : recited An Naba (long waiting hours before depart to Shisha Hahnemann Apartment, so recited Al Quran to pass time.)

We are back from the jounery.

Alhamdulillah, Rosman and I are back from Hajj safely. Thanks to all my families and dear friends for your supplications. And indeed you are in ours too.

Still coughing from the chest infection, alhamdulillah, I am recovering slowly.

We had quite an adventure during Hajj, and inshaAllah, I will put the stories up one by one.

Here are some sneak preview of our journey.
Enjoy.
