Ahadith

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah
As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

(In the name of Allah, and all praises be to Allah, and Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.
May Peace be upon you with His Rahmat, and with His blessings.)

Below are a collection of Ahadith (A record of the sayings and agreement of the Messenger Muhamad), every Muslim are highly recommended to follow the Sunnah (teachings) of the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah is the best role model of what a muslim should achieve in character building:

1. [sahih_hadith] Giving up forged speech and evil acts
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"

2. [sahih_hadith] gates of paradise for women

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (Radhiallaho anho):

Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "When a woman observes the five times of prayer, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of Paradise she wishes."

3. [sahih_hadith] Be generous and studying Quran

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel visited him, and Gabriel used to meet him on every night of Ramadan till the end of the month. The Prophet used to recite the Holy Qur'an to Gabriel, and when Gabriel met him, he used to be more generous than a fast wind (which causes rain and welfare).

4. [sahih_hadith] Sadaqat-ul-Fitr

Narrated by Abdullah b 'Umar (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) ordered the payment of Sadaqat-ul-Fitr before people go out for prayer.

5. [sahih_hadith] No fasting is permissible on Eid days

Narrated by Qazaa Maula (Radhiallaho anho):
(freed slave of) Ziyad: I heard Abu Said Al-khudri narrating four things from Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) and I appreciated them very much. He said, conveying the words of the Prophet.

(1) "A woman should not go on a two day journey except with her husband or a Dhi-Mahram.

(2) No fasting is permissible on two days: 'Id-ul-Fitr and 'Id-ul-Adha.

(3) No prayer after two prayers, i.e. after the Fajr prayer till the sunrises and after the 'Asr prayer till the sun sets.

(4) Do not prepare yourself for a journey except to three Mosques, i.e. Al-Masjid-Al-Haram, the Mosque of Aqsa (Jerusalem) and my Mosque."

6. [sahih_hadith] Fasting in Shawwal

Narrated by AbuAyyub al-Ansari (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said "He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal, it would be as if he fasted perpetually."

7. [sahih_hadith] Do not become angry and furious

Narrated by Abu Huraira(Radhiallaho anho):

A man said to Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), "Advise me!" The Prophet said, "Do not become angry and furious." The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet said in each case, "Do not become angry and furious."

8. [sahih_hadith] One should talk what is good or keep quiet

Narrated by Abu Huraira(Radhiallaho anho):

Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), said " Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not hurt his neighbor and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should talk what is good or keep quiet."
